Dina Mejalli – Graduate of 1998
After graduating from Catholic Central in 1998, Dina attended the University of Windsor where she obtained an undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics. In 2001, Dina began her legal studies at the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law.
After graduating from Law School, Dina moved to Toronto, Ontario where she worked for a large Toronto Bay Street firm. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2005 and obtained the Osgoode Society for Canadian Legal History Award, which is awarded to the students attaining the highest grades in the Bar Admission Course, and the S.J. Birnbaum Q.C. Scholarship, which is awarded to the student attaining the third highest grade in the estate planning course.
Dina returned to Windsor, Ontario in 2006 and was married that same year to CCH alumnus, William Willis. In 2009, Dina and William became proud parents to a baby girl, Mayiah Lynne Willis.
Dina is currently an Associate at Greg Monforton and Partners in the civil litigation group. Her practice focuses primarily on representing plaintiffs in personal injury actions. She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Essex Law Association and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
Dina is also a Sessional Instructor at the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law where she teaches Contract Law to first year law students.
During her time at CCH, Dina was a member of the Yearbook Committee, the Debating Team, and the Senior BBQ Committee. Her fondest memories at CCH include the never ending human chain during the annual peanut butter drives and the unmatched school spirit demonstrated at sporting events and rallies.
