William Willis – Graduate of 1998
William Willis graduated from CCH in 1998. He was honoured to be chosen by his fellow graduates as the valedictorian. He was again honoured in 2008 to return to CCH to address the graduating class as a keynote speaker. William pursued post-secondary education at the University of Windsor. He graduated with an undergraduate degree in Political Science in 2001, and in Law in 2004. In both programs he was the recipient of the Board of Governors medal for attaining the highest standing among all graduates.
After law school, William articled in Toronto at one of Canada’s largest law firms. At his call to the bar in 2005, he was awarded the prestigious Law Society of Upper Canada Treasurer's Medal for attaining the highest standing in all of Ontario in the Bar Admission Course. After practicing in Toronto for a year, William returned to Windsor as an associate at the McTague Law Firm LLP. William was admitted to the partnership three years later, and continues to practice in the Business Law Group. He is also the firm’s articling principal. William has worked his way up the Legal ranks, he has worked on some of Windsor's most memorable cases and as of 2016, he has started his own firm, Willis Law. William is a proud father to two very special girls and is married to fellow CCH alumna, Dina Mejalli. William’s fondest memory of CCH is the people. Great friends, teachers and support staff.
